Trial Dates Confirmed for New Zealand U12 Team to Compete at 2019 BCO Championship


Trial dates have been set for the New Zealand side that will compete at the U12 Baseball Oceania Qualification tournament in Australia in January, for the right to play at next years WBSC U12 Baseball World Cup.

Five trials will take place around the country to select the 15-18 squad members.

Auckland hopefuls will showcase their talent at Onepoto Domain on the North Shore on Tuesday, October 16th, from 5.30pm with a second trial in the City of Sails the following evening (also at 5.30pm) at Lloyd Elsmore Park in Howick.

In other regions, trials will take place at Wakefield Park in Wellington from 4.30pm on Saturday, October 27, in Nelson on the morning of Sunday, October 28 and in Christchurch on the afternoon of October 28.

Coaches Toshiki Nakao, Jonathan Southey and Craig Wallace have been appointed and will make the selection decisions for the January 7-14 tournament.

To be eligible players must have a New Zealand passport and have been born in 2007 or 2008.
